Crouch End Festival Chorus presents the vibrant and dramatic Porgy and Bess alongside the world premiere of Navigating the Dog Watch by young theatrically-minded composer Laura Bowler.
Based on a recent visit to some remote Atlantic islands, Bowler's wordless piece transforms their environment into an aural landscape using the infinite possibilities of the human voice, with a backdrop of film projections.
This performance marks a new collaboration with Inner Voices, one of London's emerging and talented youth choirs. Boldly juxtaposing Bowler's new work with Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, this performance brings together the passion, energy and quality that Crouch End Festival Chorus is known for.
